Chris and Elaine are practicing District Nurses . In their
daily work they encounter the challenges faced by care staff
striving to provide holistic care for clients with diverse
needs.
Christine Blyth has been practicing as a District Nursing
Sister for 22 years. She has worked within several areas in
Birmingham. She is currently a Community Practice Teacher,
responsible for the
facilitation and training of students undertaking the
Specialist Practitioner Degree in Community Nursing. Christine has interests in palliative care and continence
promotion. She has recently completed a Post Graduate
diploma in education.
Elaine King has been practicing as a District Nursing Sister
for eighteen years. She is currently working in in
Birmingham as a Community Practice Teacher and is
also responsible for the
facilitation and training of students undertaking the
Specialist Practitioner Degree in Community Nursing.
Elaine has been a Community Practice Teacher
for six years and has gained further qualifications in in
diabetes care and tissue viability.

are registered with the
Nursing and Midwifery Council and are members of the
Royal College of Nursing
